研究内容

持続可能な産業社会を実現するために,電力エネルギーの取り扱いに対し多くの未解決問題への対応できる技術革新が求められています。事実,電力エネルギーの生成,伝送,分配,変換,貯蔵などに関する技術は急速に進化し,電力エネルギーの効率,信頼性,および品質などに対する要求はますます厳しくなっています。本研究室では,スイッチング電源に関する研究を行っています。スイッチング電源は電力エネルギー変換回路の1つであり,半導体素子のオン/オフにより動作します。しかし,回路体積が大きいためその小型化が強く求められています。回路の小型化には高周波化が一つの解となりますが,高周波スイッチング電源であるほどエネルギーロスが増大し,効率が劣化してしまうという問題があります。つまり,スイッチング電源の小型化と高効率化を両立することは大変難しい研究課題となります。

高周波化・高効率を両立できる技術として,E級スイッチング技術と呼ばれているソフトスイッチング技術があり,本研究室では,E級スイッチング技術を適用した様々な高周波・高効率スイッチング電源の設計および開発を行っています。また,近年のGaNなどの次世代半導体素子の登場により,高周波スイッチング電源の設計開発はますます注目されています。本研究室ではこれらの研究開発を通じて,持続可能な産業社会の実現およびエネルギー環境問題の改善に貢献します。
